“I have been eager for a long time to improve my profile. I always felt that I had recession in my chin. Dr. Kopelman helped to create a facial balance and symmetry that I hoped for. I am super happy with my outcome and the projection of my chin which now looks and feels natural. I’m excited when I look in the mirror especially when I put on makeup to head out with friends. If you are looking for an honest plastic surgeon who will deliver the highest quality of work – Dr. Kopelman is your best bet.”

To achieve the best chin augmentation in New Jersey, Dr. Kopelman will thoroughly review your facial skin, soft tissues, skeletal structure and discuss your desires and expectations for chin implant surgery. Dr. Kopelman’s goal is to determine whether you have a weak or receding chin by examining your upper jaw and lower jaw which then allows him to determine the size and type of chin implant that will be required to achieve optimal aesthetic results. It is important to understand that chin implants come in many different shapes and sizes, and are manufactured from both solid and semi-solid materials. Finding the right fit for you will be critical in order to achieve great results.

Chin Augmentation Techniques
Chin augmentation will balance your frontal and profile facial proportions.
Chin augmentation performed by Dr. Joel Kopelman involves a small incision made along the natural crease under the chin.
The chin implant is inserted through this incision and positioned along the jawline. The incision is closed with tiny sutures and is well camouflaged so that the incision becomes almost invisible.

about Chin Implants
Dr. Kopelman will photograph and measure the chin and jawline to select the ideal size implant that will harmoniously balance your profile and frontal dimensions. If a patient is not yet ready for chin augmentation surgery then Dr. Kopelman may recommend the temporary use of an injectable filler in the chin. Hyaluronic acid gels like Juvederm, Voluma, or Restylane Lyft are safe and natural non-surgical alternatives to chin implant surgery. These temporary injections can give a patient a realistic vision of what a more balanced facial profile may look like. This temporary measure can give a patient time to determine if they like the change in their profile before committing to a permanent surgical procedure.
A chin implant can be a stand-alone procedure or scheduled in conjunction with another surgery such as a nose shaping procedure, liposuction of the neck and jawline, and a facelift procedure.
Apply topical antibiotic cream to the incision four times a day. Swelling and possibly bruising still present. Switch to warm compresses. Less Tylenol needed.
