Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: October 29, 2026

Dr. Kopelman, Joel Kopelman, MD, FACS (“the Practice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to making drkopelman.com easy to use for everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every patient and visitor to be able to learn about our services, find our offices, and contact us with ease.

Our Goal

We aim for our Website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more usable for people with vision, hearing, movement, speech, cognitive, and learning disabilities. They also help everyone, including people on mobile devices and slower connections.

What We Are Doing

  • Using clear headings and page structure so screen readers and keyboard users can get around.
  • Providing text descriptions for meaningful images, including before and after photos where appropriate.
  • Keeping enough color contrast and allowing text to be enlarged without losing content.
  • Making links, buttons, menus, and forms work with a keyboard and be clearly labeled.
  • Providing captions or transcripts for our educational videos where available.
  • Testing pages with assistive technology and reviewing accessibility when we add or update content.
  • Training staff who publish content on accessibility basics.

Known Limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we cannot promise that every page or feature meets every standard at all times. Some content may not yet be fully accessible, for example older videos, PDF documents, content from other companies such as YouTube, Instagram, and review sites, and some scheduling or form tools provided by outside vendors. We are working to fix these.

Accessible Care at Our Offices

Please tell us about any help you need when scheduling, such as a sign language interpreter, large print or another format, wheelchair access, or help filling out forms. We will work with you to provide reasonable accommodations. If you need information from this Website, including our Notice of Privacy Practices, in another format, we will provide it.

Feedback and Assistance

If you have trouble using any part of the Website, or have ideas to improve it, please contact us. Tell us the web page address, the problem you had, and the browser or assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 2 business days and to fix the problem, or get you the information another way, as quickly as we can.
