A lip lift is ideal for men or women who were born with thin lips or who have developed thin deflated upper lips.
A lip augmentation with dermal hyaluronic acid fillers is a good temporary solution that will help to enhance lip aesthetics but must be repeated twice a year in order to retain the cosmetic improvement. Not all patients will benefit from lip injections. Patients who are seeking a more permanent option may consider a surgical lip lift. Depending upon their anatomy, this procedure is suited for both genders, young and older patients, and different ethnicities. An upper lip lift will restore facial balance in relation to the nose, cheeks, and chin. Reversing a deflated thin upper lip will create a more youthful sensuous appearance.

Lip Lift Benefits
A lip lift will help enhance your facial proportions.
An upper lip lift is a one hour procedure performed under local anesthesia or intravenous sedation.
Dr. Kopelman will make an incision directly at the base of the nose where the ultimate visibility of the scar will be limited. The lip lift that Dr. Kopelman performs will start with a bullhorn subnasal incision followed by a release of deep upper lip tension. The soft tissue layers over the muscle are lifted, not just the outer skin layer. The release of all the tissue layers is necessary to relieve the tension that restricts lip lifting followed by a deep-plane advancement flap. Deep plane lip lift will permanently create a more youthful fuller lip and vertically shorten the upper lip.
