I’m super happy with the results and I now feel and certainly look more youthful when I look in the mirror. My eyelid bags had been bothering me for a long time and I was looking for a top Oculoplastic Surgeon in New York City who had years of experience to help address my concern. Frequently asked questions
about Male Eyelid Surgery
At the time of the preoperative consultation Dr. Kopelman and his nursing staff will review your medical history including all medications, supplements and homeopathic drugs that you should avoid prior to surgery. Dr. Kopelman strongly recommends that all anticoagulant medications be discontinued two weeks prior to your scheduled procedure. The list of drugs to avoid is extensive and we will provide you with that list. A partial list includes aspirin (including baby aspirin), Advil, Motrin, all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, fish oil, vitamin E (which may be contained in your multiple vitamins) and many other drugs and supplements. A complete blood count will also help our staff determine whether you have adequate platelets needed for coagulation.
The upper eyelid sutures will be removed in five to seven days following surgery and the lower eyelid sutures will absorb by themselves.
